Aileen Cheon-Hayes is associate counsel at Peck and Company. She practices primarily in the area of criminal defence and represents clients at all levels of Court.
She is a graduate of the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law Co-op Program. There she received a number of awards and scholarships, including a University of Victoria President’s Scholarship awarded to the top three percent of students in each faculty and a David Roberts, Q.C. prize in legal writing.
In addition to her law degree, Aileen holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science, with a minor in Psychology, from McMaster University and a Master of Social Work, from the University of Toronto.
Aileen articled for the B.C. Ministry of Attorney General, Legal Services Branch in 2010-2011 (now the Ministry of Justice), and served as a law clerk to the Court of Appeal for Ontario in 2009-2010.
