Aileen Cheon-Hayes is an associate at Peck and Company, where she practices primarily in the area of criminal defence and represents clients at all levels of Court.
She is a graduate of the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law Co-op Program. There she received a number of awards and scholarships, including a University of Victoria President’s Scholarship awarded to the top three percent of students in each faculty and a David Roberts, Q.C. prize in legal writing.
In addition to her law degree, Aileen holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science, with a minor in Psychology, from McMaster University and a Master of Social Work, from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining Peck and Company in 2011, Aileen articled for the B.C. Ministry of Attorney General, Legal Services Branch in 2010-2011 (now the Ministry of Justice), and served as a law clerk to the Court of Appeal for Ontario in 2009-2010.
