Lydia Chu

Profile

Lydia Chu is an associate at Peck and Company who practices in criminal, quasi-criminal, and regulatory matters. She completed her articling term with the firm and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2019.

Originally from the Lower Mainland, Lydia attended law school in the Maritimes, obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law.

Lydia has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia. She enjoys working with clients from the early stages of their case to achieve the most favourable result possible. She is fluent in Cantonese and conversationally proficient in Mandarin. She is able to assist clients who speak these languages. 

Lydia is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society, and the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law (ISRCL). In addition to being an ISRCL member, Lydia has assisted with the society’s organization and planning its annual international conference which brings together justice system participants from around the world to discuss global perspectives on current criminal law issues.
