Na Young Bae is an associate at Peck and Company, where her practice focuses on criminal defence, quasi-criminal matters, and regulatory proceedings. She assists individuals and organizations navigating serious investigations, pre-trial applications, and trial advocacy, frequently appearing before the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia. Her work encompasses a wide range of Criminal Code matters, with a strong focus on Charter litigation and safeguarding clients' constitutional rights at every stage of the justice system.

Na Young obtained her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2023. During her legal studies, she developed a deep foundation in advocacy and criminal procedure, competing in the competitive Peter Burns Trial Moot and advancing to represent UBC at the McIntyre Cup Moot in Calgary. She also honed her early courtroom skills providing pro bono assistance to low-income individuals through the Law Students' Legal Advice Program, where her commitment to criminal defence piqued.

Called to the British Columbia Bar in 2024, Na Young completed her articles and began her career at a boutique criminal defence firm in Vancouver. During that time, she represented a diverse client base across a broad spectrum of criminal allegations and provided dedicated advocacy to members of the Korean-speaking community, drawing on her linguistic fluency. Since joining Peck and Company, she works alongside senior counsel on complex prosecutions, bringing thorough legal research, procedural precision, and careful case preparation to every file.

Beyond the courtroom, Na Young takes an empathic, client-centred approach to practice management. Recognizing that navigating the criminal justice system is often one of the most stressful experiences of an individual's life, she prioritizes clear, proactive communication, transparency, and responsive guidance to ensure clients remain fully informed and supported at every stage.
